Over the past few decades there has been a rise in the commission of cyber-crimes as well as white-collar crimes, but over the course of time various studies have revealed that there is a gray area of similarity that both of these types of crimes share due to which they both become interlinking and to understand it better, it would be sufficing to say that, lately cyber-crime has been used as a tool or a medium, to commit white-collar crimes. This paper shall discuss the similarities and the point of differences between cyber-crimes and white-collar crimes. Additionally, this paper shall also present arguments by the author as to can we consider this act, as a new variation of crime which constitutes of not only cyber-crime but also white-collar crime. Furthermore, the author is of the opinion that new legislations will be required to be implemented because cyber-crime is a type of crime that knows no boundaries in territories of a state as it is a type of crime that can be commissioned remotely, while white-collar crime is a heinous crime against the public at large. Thus, the author is vocal about the need for judicial reforms.
