Abstract
The intersection of sports law, collegiate athletics, and the economy is an increasingly significant area of study that highlights the growing importance of sports in society. Collegiate sports programs contribute not only to the cultural fabric of universities but also play a substantial role in local and national economies. These programs generate millions in revenue through various channels, including ticket sales, merchandise, broadcasting rights, and sponsorships. Successful athletic programs act as economic engines for their respective institutions and communities, stimulating local economic activity through job creation and increased consumer spending (Acquah-Sam, 2021).
